About Us
Caustics Digital Academy offers unique college portfolio programs for high school students. Not only our Instructors are professionals who have worked in the movie industry for many years, we also provide hands-on experience to our students with the latest technologies. Our curriculum design focus on creative process instead of learning technical software.
Our Courses
1. Intro to 3D with Maya
This course is intended to introduce the foundation of 3D animation concepts to students. The goal is to have students engage the right and left sides of their brain, improve Common Core competency, develop collaboration skills, and foster communication. By the end of the class, students will learn simple modeling, textures, animation, and lighting in the 3D world.
2. Intro to Unreal Engine
Through this course, students will be introduced to Unreal Engine Game Development software. Students will learn the basics of creating your first project, building your first level, viewport, static meshes, materials, and lighting. By the end of this course, students should be able to have a basic understanding of 3D Game Development.
3. Intro to compositing
In this course, students will be introduced to the basics of compositing. Students will be learning digital post-production techniques used for film and animation. For example, how to stabilize the plate, camera track the scene, color correct elements, roto-mask foreground, printout details, and output your work.
4. Intro to Augmented Reality (AR)
Curious about Augmented Reality, learn the basics fundamentals and programming techniques required for building fully functional Augmented Reality android and iOS apps. For this course you will need an Android Smartphone or iPhone.
5. Computer Programming – Java, C++, Python
Curious about Augmented Reality, learn the basics fundamentals and programming techniques required for building fully functional Augmented Reality android and iOS apps. For this course you will need an Android Smartphone or iPhone.
6. Digital Arts & Design
By taking our Digital Arts & Design course, we hope students can become creators of digital content. Students will learn art theory concepts such as the elements of art, principles of design, typography, composition, and color theory. Students will learn the powerful software tools used to create digital art for print.
